In this newly created role, Detje reports directly to Mann+Hummel CEO Kurk Wilks.
With Detje’s appointment, Mann+Hummel says it not only wants to strengthen the filtration company’s efforts for a cleaner world, but to also anchor them deeply in its corporate culture.
Detje, who has a degree in engineering, has previously worked at Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national railway company. Since 2012, he has been responsible for implementing the sustainability management and the non-financial reporting at Berlin-based automotive engineering company IAV GmbH.
"With Nils Detje, we have been able to win a proven CSR expert for Mann+Hummel. A warm welcome - I look forward to working with him on this important and company-wide topic,” said Wilks.
“I am looking forward to the diverse and exciting tasks as well as the global team at Mann+Hummel,” said Detje. “The company separates the useful from the harmful and with its products and solutions serves a market that is already important and will become increasingly important in the future: Filtration is sustainability!”
