Mann+Hummel invests in Finland’s M-Filter

The Mann+Hummel Group has made a strategic investment in the Finnish filtration company M-Filter Group.

The M-Filter Group, which specialises in air ventilation filters, HEPA filters and oil/hydraulic filters for engines, consists of Oy M-Filter Ab, UAB M-Filter Lithuania, Filterpak Oy, PL-Filter Oy, Filter Partner Oy, Suodatinkeskus Suomi Oy, LM-Filters Oy and M-Filter GmbH.

In Scandinavia and in the Baltic countries the company has a strong footprint in both OEM as well as in commercial HVAC business.

The group had pro forma 2022 turnover of about €29 million and employs 240 people at its five factories.

The investment opens up new strategic business areas in Scandinavia and the Baltic States for Mann+Hummel, while M-Filter will be able to expand in the region and offer customers a broader product portfolio.

“Joining forces with M-Filter will allow us to strengthen our European footprint and unlock growth opportunities in Scandinavia and the Baltic states,” said Kurk Wilks, CEO and president of the Mann+Hummel Group.

“The majority growth investment by Mann+Hummel will be used to further product development and will enable us to invest in sales and operational capabilities,” said Kai Liesmaa, CEO of M-Filter.
