Reporting directly to Mann+Hummel president and CEO Kurk Wilks, Kaur will steer the activities of the Original Equipment unit, consisting of the Passenger Car and Heavy Duty on-and off-road and Industrial businesses, as well as the Automotive Aftermarket unit.

Kaur joins Mann+Hummel from the international consultancy firm Roland Berger, where she was a global managing director as well as a member of the board. In addition to these responsibilities, she also headed the global Research Department and Roland Berger Institute. During her 11 years with Roland Berger, she executed projects for over 75 global automotive companies across 25 countries. Kaur has been responsible for driving the consultancy’s Automotive Aftermarket Business in EMEA, with a focus on holistic business growth and transformation strategies as well as operational efficiency. She holds an MBA in Finance from India’s SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Panjab University.

“Hasmeet brings unparalleled expertise in serving automotive companies, focusing on results and innovative product portfolios,” said Wilks. “As we strengthen our product brands through innovations in core business as well as introduce new filtration solutions for new power trains and alternative fuels both in the Aftermarket as well as Original Equipment space we are delighted to welcome her to lead our transportation division to further accelerate our transformation efforts with our global teams.”

“Having dedicated a significant period of my career to advising the automotive industry, I believe it is time to explore a different perspective. I couldn’t be more excited to steer Mann+Hummel’s transportation division in the current transformation journey,” said Kaur. “During my time with Roland Berger, I have worked across the automotive value chain with a strong focus on automotive suppliers and the automotive aftermarket, as a part of which I have developed new business model concepts, portfolio growth and go-to-market strategies along with large scale transformation projects leveraging innovation trends around artificial intelligence, smart mobility and sustainability – topics that I'm looking forward to applying to Mann+Hummel’s filtration portfolio.”
