Effective 16 September 2024, Höhn transitions from his current position as chief procurement officer to a newly created role of chief performance officer, and Cochon will succeed Höhn as the new chief procurement officer.
Höhn will report directly to Mann+Hummel president and CEO Kurk Wilks while continuing his responsibilities as managing director of Mann+Hummel’s German entity. As chief performance officer, Höhn will drive the ongoing development of governance frameworks, methodologies, and the deployment of the company’s strategic initiatives and organizational advancements. He will continue to steer the company’s Performance Office, a cross-functional global initiative where all strategic profitability improvement and transformation programs are consolidated.
Höhn joined Mann+Hummel in 2004 and held various management positions in Germany and the USA before assuming global responsibility for purchasing in 2010. “I’m excited to become Mann+Hummel’s chief performance officer at such a pivotal time. Our commitment to transformation is unwavering, and I’m passionate about driving our initiatives forward with our teams to ensure the achievement of our strategic goals and to stay focused,” said Höhn.
“These appointments highlight our dedication to driving transformation and executing our strategic plans effectively. After introducing agile transformative initiatives such as the Performance Office, the appointment of Hanno as chief performance officer is a natural progression,” said Wilks.
“At the same time, we’re excited to welcome Samuel Cochon as our new chief procurement officer. Hanno has built a strong foundation in our procurement processes, and with Samuel Cochon’s extensive experience and innovative approach, I’m confident we will continue to transform to perform,” said Emese Weissenbacher, executive vice president & chief financial officer at Mann+Hummel.
Cochon comes to Mann+Hummel with extensive international sales, programs and procurement experience, acquired through senior management positions at several leading automotive companies. In his previous role, Cochon managed both direct and indirect purchasing and contributed to the enhancement of the global procurement performance.
"Stepping into the role of chief procurement officer at Mann+Hummel is a unique opportunity,” said Cochon. “I am extremely enthusiastic about contributing to Mann+Hummel’s transformation initiatives, particularly by transitioning further the procurement function into a comprehensive business partner, at the forefront of purchasing innovation, performance and efficiency. I look forward to collaborating closely with the teams to support and enable the achievement of our strategic goals.” Cochon will also report to Wilks.
