The International Desalination Association will present its biennial World Congress at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 20-24 October with a strong focus on new ways to create worldwide water sustainability.

This year’s Congress is hosted by HE Saeed Al Tayer, CEO and Managing Director of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

As part of the IDA’s efforts to forge new crossroads towards sustainable solutions, it is introducing two key new aspects of the Congress programme - the IDA Affiliate Majlis Forums and the IDA Leaders’ Summit. The Majlis Forums are specifically designed to spark dialogue with the IDA’s affiliate organisations, while the Leaders’ Summit provides the opportunity for high-level interaction with some of the world’s foremost individuals in desalination and water reuse. The Leaders with Community session is open to all conference delegates on the afternoon of Monday, 21 October and a Leaders with Leaders one-day, invitation-only programme will take place on Tuesday, 22 October.

The IDA Congress four-day Technical Programme covers all aspects of desalination and water reuse as solutions to ensure the sustainability of the world’s water resources.
