Global water technology company Xylem has signed an agreement with the International Water Association (IWA) to sponsor the next IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition in Lisbon, Portugal.
The 9th IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition, scheduled for September 21-26, 2014, continues the IWA’s biannual tradition of gathering together the best ideas and the most dynamic global water professionals. IWA expects 5,000 delegates at the event, representing every region of the world and every aspect of the water cycle, from research to application.
“The 2014 IWA congress brings Xylem an excellent opportunity to showcase its complete portfolio of products and applications expertise, and exchange ideas with key decision makers in the industry,” said Andre Dhawan, president of Xylem in the EMEA region.
“As the world’s population continues to grow, and as the effects of climate change become more pronounced, forums like IWA will play an increasingly important role in connecting the people and the technology necessary to meet future water needs.”
