The company provides solutions to help its customers do more with available water, whether it's filtering drinking water, treating wastewater for reuse or the safe return to the environment, as well as helping to manage bodies of water.
A major event at SIWW 2016 was the Water Convention, where Pentair joined water leaders from around the globe to share solutions and practical experience to help address water challenges.
Pentair's vice president of technology, Dr Phil Rolchigo, who co-chaired the Desalination - Energy session, said that as fresh water demands increase in regions with an abundance of seawater, due to both a growing population and increased manufacturing needs, innovation is being focused to help reduce the energy footprint of desalination technologies. He added that the company’s propriety membranes, membrane housings, pumps, valves, controls and filters work together to create efficient, integrated solutions.
