Nijhuis Saur Industries and NX Filtration unveil mobile NF technology to combat water scarcity

Nijhuis Saur Industries and NX Filtration have unveiled the Mobile Nanofiltration (MONF) unit at Aquatech 2025 to address the urgent challenges of water scarcity and quality.

The MONF unit merges NSI’s expertise in industrial and municipal water treatment with NXF’s state-of-the-art hollow fiber membrane technology, offering a modular and chemical-free solution that allows industries to effectively close the water loop.

Key features of the MONF solution include effective removal of contaminants, sustainable operations, and rapid deployment. The MONF efficiently eliminates micropollutants, sulfates, and organics; and reduces water footprint and operational costs significantly, while plug-and-play modularity ensures swift setup for immediate impact.

The MONF solution has already demonstrated its effectiveness across diverse industries including in paper mills in Eerbeek, the Netherlands; meat processing in Poland; and supporting drinking water initiatives in the Philippines and municipal reuse projects in the Netherlands.

Launching in April 2025, the MONF unit can treat up to 85 m³/h, making it ideal for businesses seeking cost-effective and adaptable water treatment options.

Menno Holterman, CEO of Nijhuis Saur Industries, said: “This revolutionary technology sets a new benchmark for water reuse, enabling industries to minimize costs and maximize resource efficiency.”

Floris Jan Cuypers, CEO of NX Filtration, added: “Our modular nanofiltration unit represents a significant step forward in sustainable water treatment, addressing the critical issue of global water scarcity head-on.”
