Nic Zerbst will become president and chief operations officer (COO) of Mann+Hummel Group on 1 February 2019.

Zerbst, who is South African, was most recently vice president Global Operations at Eberspächer Exhaust Technology GmbH & Co KG in Esslingen, Germany. He has previously worked for Faurecia and Ford, among other companies.

Zerbst succeeds Hansjörg Herrmann, who is leaving the Mann+Hummel management board and the company at his own request on 30 November 2018 to pursue a new professional challenge.

“We are delighted that in Nic Zerbst we have found a managing director who, thanks to his expertise, will further develop the production strategy in our plants worldwide with regard to the respective core competencies,” said Thomas Fischer, chairman of the Mann+Hummel supervisory board.

Herrmann, who was responsible for worldwide production at the approximately 40 Mann+Hummel plants, has been with the company since 2011 and has been a member of the management board since December 2015.

The Mann+Hummel board recently appointed Werner Lieberherr as the filter company’s new CEO.
