Johns Manville invests in new German production line for Evalith filtration materials

Johns Manville (JM) has launched a new state-of-the-art Evalith micro fiberglass nonwoven production line at its facility in Wertheim, Germany.

This expansion is designed to meet the increasing demand for high-efficiency filter media to enhance  indoor air quality in critical environments such as hospitals, schools, offices and cleanrooms.

“We are strengthening our position as a global leader and a domestic supplier in the filtration market, which contributes to healthier and more sustainable indoor environments,” said John Vasuta, president of JM Engineered Products. “This latest investment reflects JM’s commitment to operational excellence, sustainability and innovation. Additionally, it supports job creation and promotes economic growth in the local community of Wertheim, Germany.”

Equipped with an advanced air purification system, the new production line reflects JM’s commitment to sustainability.

“This manufacturing unit sets new standards for environmental protection,” said Christian Hassmann, director of JM’s Filtration & Separation business. “We are focused on providing cleaner indoor air while minimizing our impact on the planet.”

Evalith filtration materials capture fine dust, bacteria, viruses and other pollutants, ensuring safer indoor air quality. This filter media helps manufacturers achieve superior energy efficiency ratings, enabling end users to reduce energy consumption and lower their carbon footprint.

JM's micro fiberglass is biosoluble, REACH-registered, and classified as non-hazardous according to Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) regulations, ensuring compliance with the highest safety standards.
