Jowat

Booth 3106

The international adhesive manufacturer Jowat will be showcasing its products at FiltXPO in Miami, Florida. Interested trade show attendees will have the opportunity to explore for the first time and firsthand the advantages of the new filter adhesive Jowatherm 262.65. This EVA-based hot melt adhesive has been specifically developed for laminating filter media and wire mesh in the production of filters for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC filters). The laminated wire meshes provide excellent mechanical stability and strength to the filters.

Product coordinator Michael Dressler says: “Whether at home, in the office or in any other building, we spend up to 90% of our time inside rooms. Therefore, good indoor air quality is very important.”

A key focus at FiltXPO 2025 is sustainable applications and technologies. Jowatherm 262.65 sets a new benchmark in the lamination of filter media, offering an efficient and environmentally friendly solution that meets the requirements for high production speeds. The new adhesive is characterized by a fast melting speed at low application temperatures. While other hot melt adhesives require temperatures of up to 405°F, Jowatherm 262.65 can be processed at considerably lower temperatures, ranging from 330°F to a maximum of 340°F, depending on the melting unit used.

This significantly reduced temperature provides many advantages. Firstly, the lower temperature facilitates cleaner production environments by reducing the formation of fumes during melting.

The optimized processing temperature also decreases the risk of charred adhesive in the application equipment. A further advantage is the minimized maintenance times: the lower thermal stress minimizes undesired standstills due to maintenance and thereby increases efficiency in the production process. In addition, Jowatherm 262.65 supports the reduction of the energy used for manufacturing. Overall, this temperature reduction not only contributes to improved manufacturing conditions but also increases efficiency and lowers costs.

Palas

Booth  1942

Palas has been part of the FiltXPO for many years. In Miami 2025, the company will focus on material and filter element testing with its customized filter testing solutions, such as the FET System for overall filter element efficiency testing and the LFT System for HEPA filter quality control and leak detection.

Another highlight is the next generation of the PMFT System that will be showcased at the Palas booth at FiltXPO, enabling operators to reduce testing time by a factor of two compared to the version presented at the last FiltXPO exhibition. This outstanding test rig uses optical particle counters instead of photometers, and therefore provides total efficiency and pressure drop measurements, as well as efficiency by particle size.

Additionally, Palas would like to invite visitors to join its short course on filter testing, which will take place on Monday, 28 April, in the afternoon, followed by a customer dinner. The topics will include filter material testing according to ISO 16890, and filter element efficiency testing and scanning systems, as well as the technology to compare single-particle counting with fractional efficiency.

Hollingsworth & Vose

Booth 2807

Continuing its long tradition of innovation in filtration, Hollingsworth & Vose (H&V) will showcase two of its latest advances at FiltXPO 2025.

First comes PlusZero, H&V’s comprehensive line of high-performance solutions manufactured from source materials that do not utilize PFAS. They are grounded in the latest technology and leverage a long-time focus on research and innovation.

Environmentally sound and smart for business, PlusZero is designed to support the sustainability goals of H&V’s customers by eliminating the use of forever chemicals – without any compromise in performance.

In addition, H&V is leading the industry by offering PlusZero across its entire range of filtration solutions, from HVAC filtration all the way up to the most sophisticated HEPA and ULPA filters for cleanrooms.

H&V is also introducing its latest advances in its Trupor liquid microfiltration filter media (above).

Trupor raises the bar for membrane performance with the highest flux, made possible by superior pore size uniformity.

Innovations in the chemistry behind Trupor are powering an expansion into new markets, including bio-processing and food and beverage. The advances give Trupor superior performance – twice the flow rate – compared to traditional membranes.

The results: superior flux that helps reduce production costs, increases yields and improves the quality of end products.

To support this new Trupor innovation, H&V is building a new production line at its facility in Floyd, Virginia, which will come online in the third quarter of 2025.

Johns Manville

Booth 2726

At FiltXPO 2025 in Miami, Florida, Johns Manville (JM), a leading supplier of filtration media and part of the Berkshire Hathaway Group, with manufacturing facilities in the US and Europe, will showcase its latest advancements in filtration technology with the Evalith micro fiberglass filter tube media at Booth 2726.

These filter tubes enhance efficiency by capturing large and fine particles, optimizing system performance, and reducing maintenance needs. The combination of fiberglass and a thermoset binder is designed to withstand demanding conditions, from corrosive atmospheres to high-heat environments, without compromising filtration efficiency. This durability ensures long-term cost-effectiveness, as the longevity and performance of JM’s filter media contribute to a beneficial total cost of ownership.

Evalith filter tube media stands out due to JM’s in-line manufacturing process, creating a uniform and seamless fiberglass core. This design ensures reliable performance and eliminates leakage paths for consistent filtration results. Aligned with JM’s environmental commitment, Evalith micro fiberglass filter tube media contains, on average, 25% postconsumer recycled glass content, and its biosoluble microfibers further enhance its eco-friendly profile.

Beyond filter tubes, JM will showcase its extensive range of other advanced filtration solutions. The product lineup includes versatile polyester spunbond nonwoven filtration media and PP/PBT melt-blown nonwoven materials effective in HVAC systems for reducing fine and ultrafine particles. Additionally, JM offers micro fiberglass nonwoven products designed for high filtration efficiency and mechanical filtration in HVAC applications, as well as glass sliver and glass fiber nonwoven products made using JM’s wet-laid process.

Attendees of FiltXPO 2025 are invited to visit JM’s Booth 2726 to see first hand how Evalith micro glassfiber filter tube media and the extensive range of other filtration products can benefit state-of-the-art filtration systems.

Topas

Booth 421

For the very first time, Topas Inc will be part of IDEA2025 which is running alongside FiltXPO in Miami Beach. While IDEA is a very important show for the future of nonwoven materials and their applications, FiltXPO aims to dive into the next generation of filter technologies. At the three-daylong exhibition, Topas will inform visitors about its wide product range of test systems and devices that perfectly fit into this schedule. They can be used for versatile applications such as (air) filter testing, HEPA/ULPA filter scanning and cleanroom validation. Also, the latest industry trends like molecular filter testing, 100% production testing, or the integration of robotics for 3D filter scanning will be covered.

As the booth is too small to showcase an entire test system, Topas Inc has found another smart way to present everything it offers: a responsible specialist will be personally on site to answer all questions concerning service, repair, maintenance and customer training which are key areas of activity in the US. Since the specialist has a lot of experience working with Topas technologies, he is able to provide additional consulting. In addition, Topas Inc gives a small insight into the future: the company is planning to offer calibration and validation for American clients as well. Further expert support will come from Topas GmbH in Germany where every test system is developed and manufactured based on customer requirements. Meet Topas at Booth 421!
