Filtration nets and meshes – custommade in net gauges with a monofilament thickness down to 0.5mm (0.02”) and mesh aperture size down to 1mm (0.04”) – provide interlayer separation, spacing and support to fine paper and fabric media.

Fibroline

Hall 8, Stand F38

Fibroline is an engineering company that has developed and patented a range of dry powder impregnation technologies for textile functionalization. The company has an innovation center in France near Lyon, as well as an entity in the USA, in North Carolina. Looking for new partners worldwide, Fibroline will be located in Hall 8, at Stand F38 at FILTECH 2024.

Thanks to a revolutionary process based on the use of alternating electric fields, Fibroline solutions can impregnate materials in powder form throughout either thin or thick filter media, such as foams, papers, textiles or nonwovens. Various types of powders, such as MOF, zeolites, IX-resin or others, can be used to capture or extract molecules from air or liquids, like CO2, lithium, formaldehyde, PFAs, arsenic and others. This has allowed Fibroline to secure partnerships with several main actors in the filtration industry. Indeed, these solutions can be used to produce membranes for several purposes, such as odor absorption and liquid or gas filtration.

As these innovative solutions allow for the elimination of solvents or effluents and require little energy, they bring competitiveness and sustainability to Fibroline customers. Thanks to bigger specific surface areas compared to beads or pellets and the removal of liquid binders that totally cancel all clogging effects, dry impregnation solutions result in higher efficiency compared to conventional solutions.

Fibroline has multidisciplinary R&D teams with unique know-how. Its innovation center offers all of its technologies on a laboratory and pilot scale, allowing customers to secure a project from the initial idea to the industrial implementation of the solution. Fibroline’s business model is the transfer of its technologies by application sector. These technologies are protected by numerous patents worldwide, and are continuously extended to new industries.

Jowat

Hall 8, Stand B8

Jowat SE with headquarters in Detmold, Germany is one of the world’s leading suppliers of industrial adhesives. The company was founded in 1919 and has manufacturing sites in Germany and four other producing subsidiaries, Jowat Corporation in the USA, Jowat Swiss AG, Jowat Manufacturing in Malaysia, and Jowat China Adhesives Co Ltd in Dushan.

At this year’s FILTECH, Jowat will be presenting new adhesives for activated carbon binding and for filter frame bonding. In the filter industry, Jowat adhesives are used for bonding frames, pleating filters, as well as manufacturing and laminating filter media for home, automotive and industrial applications.

Thermoplastic filter adhesives from Jowat for the pleating and frame bonding of HEPA and ULPA filters are characterized by a wide range of adhesion and ensure bonding applications with sealing and forming properties, coupled with the highest possible process reliability. They provide high bond strengths with low application amounts, and a long service life and high quality of the filter elements.

Jowatherm hot melt adhesives facilitate excellent results in the laminating process of cabin filters. A low application amount ensures that the maximum possible surface area of the activated carbon remains free for filtering the air.

A team of adhesive experts from Detmold will be present at the FILTECH trade show in Cologne this year, to personally answer questions in detail about powerful adhesives, optimized bonding processes as well as the service and support provided by Jowat – Hall 8, Stand B8.

Lenzing Filtration

Hall 7, Stand L12

After almost 15 years on the market, the Lenzing OptiFil is widely recognized as a backwash filter for “special operations” and as a technology solution that starts where others stop. Its unique patented design allows a significantly reduced reject (= waste) amount, removing much smaller particles and thus higher solid concentration in the feed compared to traditional backwash filter designs. This is all while having an unbeatable backwash efficiency compared to other filtration solutions worldwide.

A strategic redesign program aimed at maintaining the competitiveness in view of pricing due to increased labor costs and to even extend the application fields to slightly less demanding ones (never to low end markets).

The new model OptiFil-S (“S” for standard), launched this year, has managed to keep pricing stable even under rising labor costs while keeping all the standard features allowing for highest backwash efficiency and versatile use.

The new model OptiFil-L (“L” for lean version) accommodates internals that are fabricated at lower cost, with slightly less accuracy, still keeping the main feature of a seal between feed chamber and reject chamber – but omits the feature of an exact positioning after each backwash targeting slightly less demanding applications.

The Lenzing sales team is looking forward to discussing the company’s improved design innovation as well as other possible solid-liquid filtration solutions in Hall 7, Stand L12 at FILTECH.

Math2Market

Hall 8, Stand B26

Math2Market’s GeoDict software is used worldwide for computer-aided engineering of filter media and filters. GeoDict determines and predicts filtration performance parameters digitally and these results are used in real life for engineering and optimization of filter materials and filters. Over 450 companies, universities, and research institutes simulate with GeoDict to develop innovative materials and optimize their analysis and development processes.

The latest additions to GeoDict address critical challenges faced by the filtration industry. An area of high interest is carbon capture which aims to trap and store CO2 emissions from industrial activities and power generation, and to prevent their release into the atmosphere. Another acute topic is activated carbon cabin air filters in the automotive industry. These and other adsorption based processes are key in reducing environmental pollution, eliminating harmful substances, and perfecting HVAC applications. In GeoDict 2024, Math2Market introduces the digital modeling of adsorption and the prediction of breakthrough curves. These curves are a valuable measure of the quality of adsorption filter media, but obtaining them experimentally is time-consuming and costly.

GeoDict’s new features drive filtration technology towards sustainability and digitalization. Manufacturers seeking to advance filtration technologies and release new products greatly benefit from the reduction and simplification of laboratory tests and the digital acceleration of development cycles brought by GeoDict.

PACO Group

Hall 8, Stand B33

The PACO Group is a leading supplier of metal filter media and finished products, all proudly “Made in Germany.” Partnering with HETA Verfahrenstechnik, a global specialist in filtration and separation systems, PACO is the only manufacturer in Germany offering weaving, filtration, and process technology from a single source. As a leader in quality and innovation, PACO is excited to showcase its latest advancements at FILTECH 2024. PACO’s modular filter cartridge features an innovative design with interchangeable modules that form a highly efficient filtration unit. Unlike traditional filters that require complete replacement, individual segments of the modular cartridge can be replaced or cleaned separately. Another standout product is the PACO star filter, which uses pleated metal wire cloth to increase filtering surface area, making it ideal for fluidized bed dryer applications.

These filters offer an economical and sustainable alternative to conventional textile filters due to their larger surface area, longer lifespan, and ease of cleaning, and they can also function as CIP (Cleaning in Place) elements.

Hydrogen filtration is another key focus for PACO. In collaboration with HETA, PACO will introduce a hydrogen filtration system that combines HETA’s high-pressure housing with PACO’s filter cartridges, designed for efficient hydrogen transport filtration. Additionally, HETA is unveiling its next-generation filter systems, “intelligent Liquid” (iL) and “intelligent Liquid Gas” (iLG), which have been fully redesigned with the latest technology. These systems are now even more robust against critical media, and their user-friendly design, along with the HETA Controller FiltraSmart featuring a 7” touchscreen, allows for flexible application across various industries.
