The new production line, which is scheduled to start in 2015, will use newly developed proprietary spinning technology. It will increase the spunbond lightweight capacity at the Berlin plant by more than 40%. With a capacity of more than 4000 tons per year, the new line will be built with Johns Manville’s advanced Bi-Component (BiCo) spinning technology.
The investment is part of Johns Manville’s strategic plan to support the growing demand for high-end polyester filtration media.
