The founder and CEO of Sustainable Water and Power Consultants (SWPC), Dr Corrado Sommariva, will be the instructor at a workshop covering sustainability and water management on 20 October, during the IDA World Congress at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The workshop will cover pretreatment, RO design, cleaning and troubleshooting, and presentation material will be available including an electronic copy of the book, Sustainability: A Way to Abundance.
President of the IDA from 2011-2013, Dr Sommariva served as Co-Chairman of the Technical Programme for the 2009 IDA World Congress in Dubai and was Chairman of IDA’s recently held conference, Desalination Industry Action for Good, held in Portofino, Italy that focused on desalination and social responsibility.
Dr Sommariva is an honorary Professor at Genoa and L’Aquila Universities where he holds regular courses on desalination and economics. He has published over 50 papers on the latest desalination research and economics’ reseach and two books on desalination management and economics. He has been President of the European Desalination Society (EDS) and chairman of the World Health Organisation’s committee for the establishment of safe drinking water from desalination.
