Miele recently unveiled its new cordless vacuum cleaner, Triflex which contains Hengst Filtration’s three-stage filter system offering high levels of separation at low differential pressure.

The three-stage filter has a central filter, a motor protective filter and an exhaust filter and comes in a base model or a HEPA version. The base model is composed of a polyester medium and the HEPA version is suited to allergy sufferers and uses a specially engineered filter medium with a PTFE membrane.

Hengst optimised the filter surfaces of the two exhaust filters to maximise separation levels while minimising the differential pressure. The integration of the motor protective filter into the central filter reduces space and balances the separation performance between the central filter and exhaust filter.

The Triflex uses a central cyclone as a pre-separator. Positioned in the centre of this central cyclone is the central filter with the integrated motor protective filter. To ensure exceptional cleanability Hengst used a polyester medium with a PTFE membrane on the dirty side. This allows for effective mechanical cleaning of the filter and the plastic components of the central filter.
