The new Autofiltrex range of automated filters from Eclipse Magnetics is designed for most ferrous machining applications such as grinding, honing, lapping, forming and quenching.

Available in three different sizes with features including fully automated cleaning and a magnetic reclaim unit, the Autofiltrex was exhibited at the recent EMO exhibition in Hannover. Eclipse Magnetics sales and marketing director, Steve McAllorum said: “The Autofiltrex is a great example of how an investment in magnetic technologies can improve efficiency in automotive and other metal finishing operations.”

The new range can be fitted in-line or off-line, ensuring 24-hour ultra-polished fluids. Its modular design also allows for additional units to accommodate increased flow rates, depending on application needs. Offering sub-micron filtration performance, the Autofiltrex range delivers cleaner fluid to the machine, improving surface finish and accuracy.

It is a plug and play device, needing minimal set up and the system can be fully integrated with CNC controls to provide uninterrupted filtration. In addition, the option of an additional waste reclaim unit is also available to enable a fully automated system with waste disposal.
