Suez Water Technologies & Solutions has recently announced the expansion of its ZeeWeed 500 membranes to address the needs of smaller membrane bioreactor (MBR) plants.

Suez is adding two new ZeeWeed 500 products, the 500S and the 500M, to ensure that its reinforced hollow-fibre ultrafiltration (UF) membrane can be available for all municipal, commercial and industrial applications at any flow range, from micro-sized to mega-sized wastewater treatment plants.

The ZeeWeed 500S is for small, simple systems which could include building greenfield plants, expanding existing facilities or retrofitting unreliable membrane products. This small configurable series with integrated aeration allows for geometrical and design flexibility.

The ZeeWeed 500M is for micro-flow systems. It is a UF hollow-fibre membrane for ultra-low flow systems, one-off applications or research efforts and directly models the quality and performance of the larger 500 product.

Kevin Cassidy, global leader, engineered systems, Suez Water Technologies & Solutions said the expansion of the ZeeWeed 500 family means that it can now be available for customers at any flow range from 5 GPD to 500 MGD, making it the right economic and technical choice for MBR customers dealing with any municipal, commercial or industrial application.
