Schenck Process appoints new chairman

Schenck Process Group has appointed Dr Ulrich Spiesshofer as chairman of its advisory board from 1 May 2021.

Dr Spiesshofer was chief executive officer of ABB from 2013 to 2019. He currently serves on the board of directors of Infineon AG, Munich, as senior advisor to investment management company Blackstone and is assuming the chairman role at Sabre Industries, Texas.

Prior to ABB, Dr. Spiesshofer was senior partner and global head of operations for management consultancy Roland Berger AG. He also worked for management consulting firm AT Kearney Ltd in Europe, Australia, Asia and the US. Schenck Process, which had 2020 revenues of nearly €600 million, was acquired by Blackstone International in 2017.
