The company says that this material has a similar performance to other high-quality synthetics and is quick drying which also makes it ideally suited for applications in the vacuum cleaner bag market. At the end of the product life cycle the advantages of PLA-based media are that they are compostable and can be recycled using established processes.Sandler adds that its nonwovens allow for higher suction power, and also feature a significantly higher tear resistance than traditional paper bags and an increased moisture resistance. Nonwovens are particularly durable and hard-wearing and are therefore useful in both domestic and industrial use. The Sandler media reliably trap dirt particles and dust and their high dust holding capacity brings about long operating lives and longer intervals between replacements. All Sandler materials are certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Sandler media also cover the HEPA filter grades H10 and H11 – offering even more protection for people with allergies. With various combinations of different materials, Sandler offers a broad spectrum of nonwovens for vacuum cleaner bags. Depending on the application, different pre-filter media can also be employed. Apart from standard spunbond-meltblown structures, Sandler can offer customised solutions and the filter media can be adapted to the requirements of individual vacuum cleaner models. In processing, ultrasonic welding can be used without restrictions.
