New electrospinning process improves filter media

Zeus says that the process produces polymer fibres with thicknesses ranging from the nano- to microscale. Zeus adds that it is able to develop fabrics with complex shapes from solutions, pastes and bioabsorbables. The result is a broad range of fibre and fabric properties suitable for demanding applications.

Electrospun polymers produce fibres and fabrics with high surface to weight and volume ratios, which makes these materials excellent candidates for filtration media (stand alone and coding).
