The Mann+Hummel group also realised a record level of investment and created around 1,200 new jobs in Europe, North and South America and Asia. The number of permanent staff has now risen to around 14,400 employees.

"Our order books promise a good start to the new business year of 2012."
Mann+Hummel also expanded its business and production base in 2011 and set up new locations in Germany, USA, China and India. The group has also expanded its business activities in the areas of water filtration and water treatment in a number of Asian markets such as Korea and the Philippines and also Europe. At the start of 2012, Mann+Hummel expanded strategically in the area of water with its acquisition of a Brazilian specialist company.
In all, between the years 1999–2011 the group recorded an average annual growth of approximately 9% and plans up to 2018 to increase its turnover to €3.4 billion.
