Hollingsworth & Vose appoints new VP & chief people officer

Sandra Martinez will join filter media manufacturer Hollingsworth & Vose (H&V) later this month as the company’s new vice president & chief people officer.

Martinez will be part of H&V’s senior leadership team and have a strong voice in developing and implementing initiatives driving engagement, organizational capability and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as part of the company’s overall sustainability efforts.

“At H&V, our people are our most important resource, and Sandra was the ideal person to lead this essential facet of our organization,” said Josh Ayer, CEO of H&V. “We selected Sandra due to her business acumen and experience working with a global workforce in key markets such as the Americas, APAC and Europe.”

Prior to H&V, Martinez served as the head of human resources for the industrial segment of Barnes Group, a global industrial and aerospace manufacturing company, and as vice president of human resources and compensation and benefits at Spanish-language media company Univision. She also spent a significant portion of her career at General Electric, where she served for many years in both Europe and the US.

Within her roles, Martinez has worked across DEI, organizational development, talent management and HR operations. She also served as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council for the Manufacturers Alliance.

Martinez has a CEMS master’s degree in international business administration from the Université catholique de Louvain as well as a BBA/MBA from Esade.
