Cypress, Texas-based Remington MUD selected Evoqua’s DAVCO Field Services team to rehabilitate two existing Gravisand Traveling Bridge filters. This turnkey project included the cleaning of existing underdrains and the installation of new bridges and components. Start-up was approximately four months ago.
The San Marcos WWTP in Texas, which is operated by engineering firm CH2M, subcontracted with Evoqua to rehabilitate three traveling bridge filters. The project included removal and replacement of all media, demolition of existing underdrains and installation of new tubular underdrains, installation of new influent slide gates and commissioning. The San Marcos plant treats 9 MGD per day and serves more than 42 000 residents.
Meanwhile North Texas Municipal Water District selected Evoqua for the rehabilitation of traveling bridge filters at its Floyd Branch Regional WWTP in Richardson and Buffalo Creek WWTP in Rockwall. Evoqua’s DAVCO service team provided a complete turnkey rehabilitation solution including engineering, demolition and installation of a tubular underdrain system, bridge assemblies, pumps, control panels, media replacement, and commissioning services.
The City of Lincoln in Alabama chose Evoqua to rehabilitate two ageing traveling bridge filters at its municipal wastewater treatment plant. The DAVCO field service and installation team provided the cleaning of all underdrains, realignment of the bridge assemblies, complete media replacement services and start-up.
In Florida, the City of Clearwater recently updated six Hydro-Clear Sand Filters at its East Water Reclamation Facility. Evoqua’s DAVCO service team provided equipment and services including new underdrain assemblies, backwash troughs, air diffusers, control system programing, media replacement and commissioning services. The new equipment has been operating successfully for around four months.
