The Donaldson company has recently announced the results of its analysis of engine air filters and a side-by-side performance study showed that its PowerCoreair filters deliver more fuel-efficient performance than market newcomers.

The results come in a year when Donaldson manufactured its 40 millionth PowerCore air filter. It introduced the filters 20 years ago to meet the demanding specifications of long-haul truck engineers and large truck OEMs who now pre-install PowerCore filters on their new equipment.

For more than two decades, Donaldson has continually improved the filter media and the company says today, PowerCore filters offer optimal airflow and deliver 26% more contaminant holding capacity than comparable filters and can save fleets up to US$215 per truck per year, assuming diesel costs of US$2.92 per gallon.
