Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, Micronics comprises a portfolio of industrial filtration brands, including Micronics, Action Filtration, SOLAFT, AFT, NFM, Filterfab, SFM, CPE, UPC, and AeroPulse. The business operates from multiple locations in the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, India, China, and Australia, and designs and manufactures vacuum filtration equipment in the USA along with filter presses in both the USA and the UK.

As part of the deal Chris Cummins, formerly of Micronics, becomes CEO of Cleanova. Cummins said: “Joining forces with Cleanova marks a pivotal moment for our business, positioning us for a new chapter of accelerated growth and innovation on a global scale. This strategic move will further enable our ongoing ambitions to expand our global reach and diversify our product offering while maintaining our commitment to delivering excellence to our customers.”

This is the fourth major acquisition for Cleanova since it started operating in 2023 and follows the recent purchase of Allied Filtration. This combination with Micronics further strengthens Cleanova’s presence in North America as well as EMEA, and is complementary across markets, geographies and product portfolios. Cleanova’s leadership in liquid filtration solutions will be enhanced by Micronics’ upstream pressure and vacuum filtration process offerings as well as its leading position in air filtration solutions.

Javaid Riaz, the former CEO of Cleanova and now a member of the board of directors, said: “This announcement marks a significant milestone in Cleanova’s growth journey, propelling us into a new phase of geographical expansion and product diversification. We are excited to become one of the largest independent industrial filtration companies in the world.”

Cleanova was formed in October 2023 and is owned by pan-European private equity firm Px3 Partners (Px3). Cleanova now comprises a broad range of established industrial filtration brands including Action Filtration, AeroPulse, AFT, Airpel, Allied, CPE, Dollinger, Filterfab, Micronics, NFM, Plenty, Roome, SFM, Shawndra, Sidco, SOLAFT, UPC, and Vokes. The combined Cleanova has 1400 employees in manufacturing sites and sales and service centres throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, India, China, Brazil, Australia, and the Middle East.
