USA's National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) has announced that CH2M HILL's Duyen Tran has been selected to receive an NAWC Living Water Award. Ms Tran is the sixth private water professional to be recognised through this program, which was established in 2012 to celebrate the exemplary employees of NAWC member companies.
In total, 25 years of her 28 years in the industry have been with CH2M HILL. She is currently a project manager for the city of Fayetteville, Arkansas, where CH2M HILL has provided contract operations and maintenance services for the city since 1987. She is responsible for overseeing delivery of those services, which now encompass two wastewater treatment plants, an industrial pretreatment program, environmental laboratory, pump stations, sludge management site, irrigation, water distribution, biosolids management facility, wet prairie and the Lake Sequoyah dredging project.
'Thanks to her leadership and innovative contributions, the city of Fayetteville-CH2M HILL partnership has achieved outstanding results, particularly in the area of sustainability,' said a NAWC statement. 'Duyen's leadership helped Fayetteville achieve one of its major goals to become a recognised, award-winning national environmental leader.'
