Regulatory course offered by Arab water group

The Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) in partnership with the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) is planning the internationally recognised certificated programme of Professional Certificate in Regulatory Affairs for next year. Although the actual coursae itself is ayear away, the deadline for registration is May 15 2014. The course is designed with regulatory experts to provide significant professional benefits to senior individuals from across the regulatory spectrum and from countries around the world. This is a specialist training course leading to a Level 5 Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Certificate in Management and Leadership. Upon completion of this week-long course and subsequent written tasks, the successful candidate will be awarded a Level 5 CMI certificate in Management and Leadership showing the CMI units achieved. The CMI is the only chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence. The professional qualifications offered by the Institute are internationally recognised and sought after.

A wide range of generic regulatory issues and solutions are examined, challenged and critically analyzed as a means to improve decision making, regulatory frameworks and reform processes. Participants will assess current regulatory initiatives, and, through exploration of alternative methods, examine international comparisons and practices, and look at the applicability of implementing these in local contexts. Training Topics include: •    Risk in Regulation •    Regulatory Reform Initiatives •    Examining Recent Developments in Regulatory Behavior •    Examining Regulatory Failure •    Lessons from Regulatory Failure The course will take place during May 18-22 2015 in Amman, Jordan.
