Argonide Corporation’s pleated filter cartridge utilizes a design incorporating two distinct pleated layers of filter media which yields extremely high filtration efficiency for bacteria, virus and endotoxins.
Each NanoCeram-DP filter cartridge contains dual-pleated layers of Argonide’s non-woven filter media matrix which is infused with nanoalumina fibres, creating an electropositively-charged depth filter. When assembled into a pleated cartridge, a NanoCeram-DP filter offers an ultra-high level of filtration efficiency because of the extra bed-depth provided by the two layers of electropositive filter media. Initial bacteria (E coli) and virus (MS2) retention greater than 7.5 LRV and 6 LRV (respectively) have been shown in laboratory testing for the new NanoCeram-DP cartridges. Additional testing indicates up to 99.95% endotoxin initial removal (235 to <0.12 EU/ml @ 10 mL/cm2/min) using filter discs.
The cartridges from Argonide Corporation are available in four versions: standard, powder activated carbon (PAC), and two hybrid filters both of which incorporate an activated carbon block as the center core with one using standard NanoCeram media and the other using NanoCeram-PAC media as a pleated layer surrounding the carbon block. They will fit into most commercially available filter housings and results have shown a greater dirt-holding capacity, higher efficiency, and wider operating pH range versus other charged filters.
All components in NanoCeram-DP filters are FDA-compliant and appropriate for food contact.
