The Alfa Laval PureSOx platform is an exhaust gas cleaning solution, which is now being expanded to address broader fuel sulphur regulations in the light of possible implementation of a 0.5%S global cap by the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) in 2020 or 2025.
Now designated the PureSOx ECA, the current PureSOx version for 0.1%S compliance is joined by a PureSOx Global version for complying with a 0.5%S global cap, as well as a PureSOx Flex version which offers compliance at both levels. All versions offer open-loop, closed-loop or hybrid arrangements, in addition to the choice of U-design or inline I-design scrubbers.
