Abstract submissions open for 2014 Houston filtration event

The call for abstract submission for next year's AFS Oil & Gas and Chemical Processing Filtration & Separations Conference in Houston is open.

Deadline for submissions is January 24 2014, and the conference will take place two months afterwards – March 25-26 – in the Texan city, at the Houston Marriott, Westchase.

Organisers from the American Filtration & Separations Society encourage professionals to submit an abstract for technical session participation, and students to submit poster abstracts in the conference poster competition.

There will be short courses sessions at the venue on the day before the conference opens, during March 24.

A spokesman for the event said: ''In the ever increasing demand for energy and hydrocarbon-based products,

process separation plays a critical role in enabling operations to run at higher capacities with low operational cost and reduced environmental impact.  This conference will address a variety of  separation methods available to the industry; from filters and coalescers to membranes and cyclones, and many more.''
