Team members have relocated from within North America and from Australia and Finland to the Denver office in order to be closer to the majority of Outotec’s USA-based mining customers. Sales, service and project implementation teams will be based in Denver along with technical support experts in automation, flotation and industrial water treatment.
Outotec’s Canada-based North America market area president, Marcus Horn, will oversee the new facility located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
“Denver was a sensible choice for us and for our customers,” explained Horn. “We already had several remote team members located in the area, but wanted to bring a larger pool of experienced staff to the region to be closer to our customers and enhance our service levels.”
The Denver facility, which includes a warehouse to support Outotec’s growing spare parts sales, will also serve as the Outotec Americas region Comminution technology centre. The core team of grinding mill experts has moved from Outotec’s Jacksonville, Florida location, which is now closed.
In the US, Outotec already has an energy products technology centre in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; a coated titanium anodes technology centre in Strongsville, Ohio; and an iron ore beneficiation technology centre in Jessup, Maryland.
