Evoqua Water Technologies has acquired ATG UV Technology Ltd, a UK manufacturer of ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection systems used in municipal, aquatics and industrial applications.

Wigan-based ATG UV is a privately held company serving the municipal, marine, food and beverage, oil and gas, aquatics and aquaculture markets and employing around 75 people.

ATG UV is the exclusive technology supplier to Evoqua’s ETS-UV product line in North America. The acquisition of ATG UV will allow Evoqua to serve customers globally.

“We are excited to welcome ATG UV to the Evoqua family,” said Ron Keating, CEO of Evoqua. “We have developed a successful working relationship with the team as a licenced manufacturer of their technology in North America and look forward to expanding our reach to new geographies consistent with our acquisition strategy. We are excited to market ATG UV as an Evoqua brand to our municipal, aquatics and industrial customer base.”

ATG UV is Evoqua’s first acquisition in 2019 and 13th to date. The brand will join Evoqua’s portfolio of disinfection brands, which already includes Wallace & Tiernan systems, Delta UV products and Pacific Ozone products and solutions.
