The new Xylem base will also be used to up-skill local talent by providing professional development training programs for employees.
Xylem will continue to sell through its distribution partners in Vietnam which the company has been working with since 2004.
The new sales office is part of Xylem’s long-term strategy to grow business within high-potential emerging markets like Vietnam.
Andy Rumary, managing director of Xylem Water Solutions Hong Kong said: “We believe that a significant opportunity exists to grow our business within Vietnam. Our new base will enable us to work more closely with our locally based distributors and partners in order to grow market share and develop sales and aftermarket services opportunities for the business.”
