Modern Karton, Turkey’s largest manufacturer of cardboard packaging and packaging paper, has signed a contract with Voith for the extension and modernization of its existing OCC (old corrugated cardboard) line.
Voith will also supply a new stock preparation line for pulp and recovered paper.
This new order, which follows the successful upgrade and expansion of the existing DIP (deinked pulp) line, comprises Voith’s BlueLine stock preparation components, including IntensaMaXX, IPU reject pump and IntensaScreenDrum for disposing of the contaminants from the existing pulper. Voith’s scope of supply also includes a protector system, HiClean HCL5 EcoMizer cleaner system for sand removal, LT3 lightweight contaminant cleaner, InfiltraDiscfilter and several IntegraScreens for fractionation and fine screening.
The scope of supply for the new stock preparation line comprises various components from the BlueLine product range. Voith will also be responsible for the basic and detailed engineering as well as on-site services.
Voith will also implement an innovative water management control system that automatically controls the complete water system for the entire production line in a wide range of operating conditions.
