Uniwater to expand in Norway with Noka acquisition

Uniwater has entered into an agreement to acquire Noka AS, a Norwegian engineering and service company specializing in drinking water treatment for municipal and industrial customers.

Noka is a specialist in water treatment in Norway, offering services and technical solutions for drinking water treatment through membrane filtration and UV disinfection. The company also provides aftermarket services with consulting, maintenance and delivery of spare parts and chemicals.

"Uniwater has a strong portfolio with a wide range of niche specialists to build the water infrastructure of the future. We are building our capacity for complete solutions in all markets where we operate. Noka's experienced and knowledgeable team strengthens Uniwater's expertise in drinking water treatment, which is an important component in broadening our offering to an even larger customer base," said Olof Nordin, business area director for Uniwater Treatment.

"We are a small company sprung from technical solutions and engineering assignments. We like to be small, but we see great opportunities for business development by being part of Uniwater,” said Andreas Hartz, CEO of Noka. “Noka has been around for more than 50 years, now a new era is starting together with Uniwater. My expectation is to be able to collaborate with other companies in the group, and I see great potential for our membrane system solutions in more markets."
