Misty Ayers, the Marketing Coordinator at the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA), organisers of the event, expressed their delight with the turnout, stating, "The show has had a great turnout with over 1200 attendees. We are very pleased with how the event has turned out, with exhibitors happy, and speaker sessions were great and insightful."

One of the exhibitors at the event, the American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS), is a non-profit educational society. Lyn Sholl, the Executive Director of AFS, shared their mission, "Our core objective is to establish a vibrant platform where engineers, educators, scientists, and users of filtration products can freely exchange valuable information. We're dedicated to nurturing a dynamic community that caters to both newcomers entering the field and seasoned professionals advancing in their careers. This commitment is exemplified through our array of educational initiatives designed to empower individuals at all stages of their professional journey, making learning and growth accessible to everyone in the filtration industry."

The Nonwovens Institute, the world's first accredited academic program for engineered fabrics, also had a presence at FiltXPO. Tom Daugherty, Deputy Director and Operations Director, outlined their mission, "Our primary focus revolves around nurturing the growth and advancement of the nonwovens industry through a structured approach encompassing five fundamental areas of Emphasis. These pillars include: knowledge creation, workforce development, fabrication and testing, product development and product incubation. Through these five pillars, we actively contribute to the growth and advancement of the nonwovens industry, fostering a robust ecosystem that thrives on knowledge, skills, innovation, and quality."

In interviews with the event attendees, it was evident that FiltXPO 2023 was well received. Sven Schütz from Palas and his colleague Daniel Bachman from CH Technologies (who are in partnership with Palas) expressed their satisfaction with the event, especially highlighting the return to in-person interactions post-Covid.

Noora Blasi, Marketing Manager for Filtration at Ahlstrom, praised the event, stating, "A great show, this is the only show in North America, so it is always a must. Plus, it's always good to be in Chicago, until next time!"

Vincent Paez, Director of Global Sales at ATI, appreciated the networking opportunities the event offered, saying, "I like the networking that we can do here. I was able to meet a lot of companies from overseas very easily, who would otherwise be difficult to meet. We saw a lot of new technology, and being able to exhibit ours and demonstrate it on the floor was a great experience, and hopefully attendees learned a lot too."

Pau Borràs, Business Manager at Intermas, summarized the event as "three great days at FiltXPO, an intimate but extremely knowledgeable event with a focus on quality over quantity."

FiltXPO 2023 undoubtedly provided a valuable platform for exhibitors and attendees to collaborate, innovate, and celebrate the advances in the filtration industry. This event has once again solidified its place as a must-attend gathering for filtration professionals in North America.
