Founded in 2012 in Hyderabad, Sanpure Systems provides custom engineered, high purity water systems for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

Sanpure Systems will continue to operate under the same name and under the leadership of its founder and CEO Basavaraj Nekar, who remains a shareholder in the company.

Commenting on the investment, Nekar said: “The synergies between Sanpure, Paques and SKion Water bring benefits to our existing and new customers in India and abroad. We can significantly expand our range of services, deliver even better quality at low economic costs and be even more successful together as a group. I am particularly grateful for the very pleasant negotiations with Sudeep, Reinhard and the entire team and very much look forward to continuing this journey as part of the SKion Water family.”

Dr Reinhard Hübner, CEO of SKion Water, said: “We are very happy that Sanpure and its team of more than 100 employees is becoming part of the SKion Water family. For us, pharma water and wastewater treatment solutions are a strategic growth area. With Sanpure, we are now able to also provide purified water/WFI systems to pharma customers in India. In addition, we can leverage the resources and expertise of Sanpure in other geographies and expand into other process water segments such as hydrogen or solar in India.”
