Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and PUB will initially launch a project to demonstrate advanced water treatment and reclamation technologies for untreated industrial wastewater at a PUB water reclamation plant in Singapore’s Jurong Industrial Estate. The district is home to a number of industries including shipbuilding, petroleum refining, chemicals, iron and steel production, and machinery manufacturing.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will construct a plant where the company will carry out demonstration testing of processes to treat and reclaim wastewater. The plant will also be used to verify the viability of an automated control system.
Under the two-year project, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will be responsible for the design, manufacture, procurement, installation and operation of the water treatment plant.
