Metso Outotec has extended its line of FFP filters with the new Larox FFP3716 high capacity filter for demanding tailings applications.
The LaroxFFP3716 filter has a compact plate pack design and smart automation. Combined with Metso Outotec’s optimised filtration plant design, the FFP3716 filter offers a reliable, long term solution for tailings management even in challenging environments.
With a substantial increase in total filtration volume, the Larox FFP3716 uses the optimal plate pack design which offers reduced wear on plate pack and cloth components, ease of operation and spares holding. The new design of the closing and sealing mechanism with individual controlled sealing cylinders ensures squared plate pack at any time, resulting in a long pack lifetime. The FFP3716 filter has been designed with high levels of safety in mind.
The filter has a 2,000m² filtration area, a 44m³ chamber volume, up to 16 bars operating pressure, a smart hydraulic system and a readiness for remote production application support.
The company said its goal is to provide holistic tailings management solutions, changing the way it views, handles, and manages tailings.
