GEA makes two bolt-on acquisitions

The de Klokslag product range includes process technology, draining/moulding equipment, cheese presses, mould- and lidhandling, cleaning tunnels, transport systems and brining systems as well as solutions for whey/curd separation.

“De Klokslag fits perfectly with our new strategic approach to complement our application competencies along selected end product lines. This acquisition turns us into a full solution provider in this growing segment of the dairy sector,” said Juerg Oleas, CEO of GEA Group. “While de Klokslag has a first rate product and strong processing capabilities on their own, they will benefit significantly from GEA’s global sales network and our systematic service approach.”

De Klokslag and GEA have worked together on a number of occasions over the past decade.

GEA has also acquired Scan Vibro A/S, a Danish manufacturer of powder conveying systems for food applications. Scan-Vibro has been a long-time partner of and supplier to GEA Process Engineering.

Together de Klokslag and Scan Vibro bring around 160 employees and €40 million in annual revenues to GEA.
