GE Expands Brazil facility

The Sorocaba facility will now begin assembling GE's reverse osmosis equipment used in the sugar and alcohol; food and beverage; oil and gas; and steel production industries. Before the expansion of this plant, much of this equipment was imported from the United States.

GE says that it will now be better positioned to meet the increasing demand for its technology in Latin America , which is expected to increase by 25% over the next three years. It also expects to improve delivery times by up to 60%.
