The MAXFLOW compact filter system is being used to process cooling lubricant for the Melchiorre ELC 2000, the largest machine of its type in the world.
Maxflow offers a filtration rate of more than 100 litres per minute and incorporates a facility that allows filter waste to be processed into briquettes.
Jores decided to use the Maxflow compact filter system 1000-503 with one filter head, a pressing unit and a lifting station. The system, with a capacity of 1,000 litres, has a dirt tank integrated into the clean tank that prevents deposits from accumulating on the tank floor.
The filter head contains two filter packets each consisting of two vertically aligned static disc filters screened with YMAX multidimensional blended filter mesh.
GKD says the advantages of the system include easier handling, better accessibility, ease of maintenance and lower disposal costs.
It also has a compact design at just 1.6m in diameter and a height of 2.5m.
