The Eriez story began in 1942 when founder OF Merwin installed a permanent magnet in a grain mill. Today, Eriez specialises in magnetic separation, flotation, metal detection and material handling equipment technology for the mining, processing, packaging, food, recycling, aggregate and metalworking industries. Headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA, Eriez designs, manufactures, and markets on six continents through 12 wholly owned international subsidiaries and an extensive sales representative network and employs more than 900 people.

After eight decades, Eriez is still a family-run company, with OF Merwin’s grandson Richard Merwin currently serving as chairman.

“Our board of directors, past and present, has embraced and supported deliberate and bold ongoing initiatives for global strategic growth. Their consistent, sound and ethical guidance is a major factor in Eriez’s continuing success,” said Richard Merwin.

The company has some special events planned throughout 2022 to commemorate this milestone anniversary with customers and employees.
