Founded in 1889, Handte provides filter products and processes for a range of air pollution control applications.
Handte will now become part of Camfil’s Air Pollution Control (APC) business unit and strengthen Camfil’s platform for growing its APC business in Europe. Camfil says that the Handte product line strategically complements Camfil APC’s range and also broadens Camfil’s systems portfolio in the United States.
“Handte fits perfectly into Camfil. The acquisition will expand our offering and add substantial specialist knowledge, technology and production capacity for systems and solutions for metalworking industry and other industrial customers in Europe and in Asia. I look forward to closing the deal and welcoming managing director Jakob Handte and his team to Camfil,” said Magnus Yngen, CEO of the Camfil Group.
“Camfil was our preferred strategic partner for Handte Group, which posted record results for the 2013 financial year. I am looking forward to further developing the APC business of Camfil on a worldwide basis in my new function as chief technology officer (CTO),” said Dr Jakob Handte, a former shareholder of Handte Umwelttechnik.
The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of this year.
