The MYR50 million plant expansion will include a hi-tech R&D facility as well as state-of-the-art high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter, turbo machinery and molecular filter manufacturing.

The new integrated facility, which will have multiple production lines, will be operational by the fourth quarter of 2022.

“The MYR50 million investment for the new plant expansion allows us to accelerate our growth strategy and broaden our offerings in APAC as we focus on delivering long-term value to our customers,” said Teng Kim Ming, Camfil Malaysia, VP Finance & IT (APAC).

“The new expansion will give us additional warehouse space, I foresee that we will have a reduction of approximately 50% in lead time,” said Karunagaran Krishnan, Camfil Malaysia’s head of Plant & VP Supply Chain (APAC).

The Camfil Group is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and has 31 manufacturing sites, six R&D centres, local sales offices in 35 countries, and 5200 employees.
