Biwater meet with Peruvian President to discuss new desalination plant

The desalination plant, which would supply water to the southern part of Lima, would be operational from 2011. The president of Biwater, Adrian White, met with the President of Peru, Alan Garcia, to discuss the project that would require an investment of US$45 million.

Biwater, who would be involved in the construction of the desalination plant, providing the supply, storage and distribution of potable water with a capacity of 100 thousand cubic metres per day, have already been working on the project for over a year.

Other attendees at the meeting with the President included the British Ambassador to Peru, and Biwater's vice president of engineering for the Americas.
