Ahlstrom-Munksjö is moving into the second phase of its project to strengthen its manufacturing platform for high performance filtration and energy storage applications.
Having completed the initial analysis and design phase, Ahlstrom-Munksjö will now increase its micro-glass and industrial filtration capacities.
This second phase includes expanding industrial filtration production capacity at Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s Malmedy plant in Belgium; increasing micro-glass based media production capacity at the Fabriano plant in Italy; installing a new fully dedicated micro-glass based media line at the Turin plant in Italy; and rebuilding a machine at the Binzhou plant in China.
The €28 million project, which was first announced in 2018, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2021.
