AAF opens new R&D centre

The AAF centre was formally opened by Yasushi Yamada, senior executive officer of global Japanese parent company Daikin Industries Ltd. Yamada said that the centre was the first step in a programme of growth based around investment in new technology and products, part of the company’s aim to be the global number one for its products in the industrial sectors in which it operates. These include air filtration, acoustic and power augmentation equipment for gas powered turbines and other industrial pollution control products.

The centre has already created around eight new jobs and is set to result in a further 20 jobs over the next two to three years.
