Waterloo’s WaterNOx filter has many of the same operating benefits as the Waterloo Biofilter wastewater treatment systems. This includes a permanent filter medium, low maintenance and energy use, no aerobic sludge management, a safe and non-toxic carbon source, and a compact footprint. With proper design and maintenance, total nitrogen concentrations in the final effluent of < 5mg/L can be consistently met.
