Veolia ultrafiltration unit now available in Europe

The unit is designed for industrial water treatment. Due to the lower level of groundwater, industries need to use more surface water such as rivers and lakes for the production of purified water. Veolia says that the ultrafiltration process is the most appropriate pre-treatment technology upstream of reverse osmosis for the reduction of organic substances or microorganisms.

Aquamove Mofi-UF-65C is part of the company’s European range of 130 Aquamove mobile units and can replace Veolia’s mobile Aquamove Mofi sand, cartridge and bag filters for surface water treatment, pre-treatment upstream of reverse osmosis or ion exchange, plant downtime for maintenance purposes, secondary effluent of conventional wastewater treatment and water re-use. It can treat water with suspended solids and organics with high fooling index.

The Aquamove MOFI-UF unit is easily transportable. It produces a flow from 20 m3/hr to 100 m3/hr depending on the water quality, with a nominal rate of 65 m3/hr. It has a remote control to improve maintenance and operation. Being a mobile unit, it is put in place by the Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies’ service teams for emergency or planned temporary interventions to ensure production continuity.

The unit can be put in place upstream of the mobile Aquamove Moro reverse osmosis units for ultrapure water production and downstream from the mobile Aquamove Actiflo clarification unit for industrial wastewater treatment and water re-use.

The Aquamove Mofi-UF-65C unit was designed by VWS Aquantis, a German subsidiary of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies.
